On a wind-tormented morning
with life's dark clouds lowering
a sudden sunbird flirted with flowers.
A blaze of unexpected sun ricocheted
off purple, scarlet, malachite feathers
struck silver stamens and pink petals.
So vast a spectrum; a reminder ...
